We take
pride in offering jewellery and timepieces that our clients will cherish today
and
for generations to come. At Schubot Jewellers, we create the heirlooms of tomorrow.
a. History
As a young man, Jules Schubot was an usher at Detroit's impressive theaters. When
the glitterati would come to town, he would serve as unofficial hospitality
committee, frequently procuring jewelry and gifts for the celebrities. The
enterprising young man soon found work at jewelry stores in the hub of
Detroit commerce, eventually venturing out on his own in 1917.
His philosophy
quickly made him the jeweller for a new class of customer - the corporate captains
who flexed Detroit's industrial might. Customers knew that a purchase from Jules
meant not only that it was stylish, but it also had enduring value.
Jules' son,
Douglas, joined the firm in the late 1940s, spending every
school vacation working for his father. He took over as president in 1970,
and he and his wife, Sydell, continued the family tradition.
Extending
the family involvement to a third generation, Douglas and
Sydell's son, Brian, a Graduate Gemologist and a Certified Gemologist
Appraiser, joined the family business in 1985. Brian, his wife Michele, and
their two children promise to continue the Schubot legacy into the next millennium.
Our commitment
From the day he first opened the doors of the salon, Jules Schubot realized
that he was in the business of building relationships. Trust grows over
time, purchase after purchase. We serve our clientele at momentous times in
their lives - from the engagement ring to anniversary and cherished holiday
presents to silver keepsakes for babies.
Meticulous
attention to detail leads our clients to place their faith in our
integrity for selling only the highest quality gemstones and fine jewelry.
In turn, we expect the highest standards from ourselves, our staff and all
of our designers and suppliers.
We strive
to nurture these long-term relationships. Our success has been
enhanced by the philosophy that our customers and vendors are all part of
the extended Jules R. Schubot family.
